The biotechnology program at the École Supérieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg (ESBS) is spread over three years. It is organized by the universities of Basel, Strasbourg and Freiburg. Students from France, Switzerland or Germany receive interdisciplinary, intensive and trilingual training in the field of biotechnology.
Most of the courses are organized in Strasbourg, but some (notably practical courses) are carried out in Basel and Freiburg. The lessons are given mainly in English but also in French and German.
The courses are regularly updated in order to adapt to recent developments in research, both fundamental and applied, in biotechnology.
The ESBS program of study includes a very wide range of subjects ranging from molecular biology, immunology, biophysics, and process engineering to economics, linguistic education, molecular modeling and bioinformatics.
